I have just purchased a Fiscon unit. The instructions explain that i need to code the system to telephone after installation. I understand this can be done with a VAG-COM cable & software? Does anyone know anymore about coding the system and if Dealers are willing to do it? Is it necessary? or do you know of anyone in Leicestershire that has got the necessary kit?

Installed the Fiscon unit tonight. No issues, dead simple, everything works as described without any recoding

Telephone button on multi-function steering wheel doesn't work, but this is as described on another post.

NP .... worst bit for me was getting the silver trim off as it was quite tight for the initial release at the top edge. I fed the cable for the fiscon unit down to behind the drivers side footwell, behind the lower cover of the centre console (one bolt removes this). I used foam pads to stick it on top of the silver box below the heater unit. Microphone is on dashboard next to Hr/Min buttons as I didn't fancy taking apart the A-pillar cover. Works perfect

399 euros + 14.28 euros shipping = 413.28 euro's, when i purchased equated to £376.62 from http://www.kufatec.de, Paid Via PayPal, arrived within 4 days, no problem. hope that helps.
Fitted it today! No problems at all. I purchased a trim removal tool kit off ebay (T265100), this made removing the silver trim around the head unit very easy. You need a T20 Torx bit to remove the head unit. Loads of room below and behind head unit to fit everything in. Quality of sound and functionality excellent.

I purchase the Fiscon bluetooth handsfree and I have a question:
If there is an incoming call from a number that is not on your phonebook, doesnt it should display the number of the caller??
In my case it dispalys "unknown..."

Help??

Errr... maybe that number has suppressed caller ID?

It does sound tempting but I am a bit worried about the installation. Not sure I would not screw it up. Would it affect the warranty of the car if I were to install it myself? Would a VW dealer agree to install it?
