Hi,
I'm a relative newbie so this is probably a numpty question, regarding a 2013 R line. At the bottom of the drivers door on the inside is a metal bar with a hole in it which appears to go into a slot in the lower door sill, what is it????

I think its part of the locking mechanism

From an old thread

"It's to help stop the middle of the door folding into the cabin in case of a side impact

If the door is hit there are effectively three points of attach, the hinges, the catch & the tag in the middle, the doors also have side impact bars of course to stop them folding in half "
