Hi, have 2.0 TDi GT Roc, but only doing around 7k annual.
Mostly at 40 + mph but only for 15 - 20 mins.. am I going to ruin this car as I don't do a lot of miles, Should I get a Petrol... regardless, I am staying with a Roc.
58 plate, £47200 miles... had EGR done last year..
any advice be great, thanks

I do roughly the same mileage or maybe a little less but not much. When looking for a Rocc I was either going to get a 170 TDi or the 2.0 TSi GT. After reading about possible DPF issues with the TDi I opted for the petrol. I do a mix of driving types on my commute to work, I have 2 routes 2 chose from, first is a majority motorway run which is a 14 mile trip the 2nd option is some motorway, dualcarage way and stop starts. During the winter my average mpg was 36 now in this more warmer weather I've been averaging 39mpg with achieving upto 400 miles per tank. I think 40+mpg is possible on a good run. So economy wise it's not too bad, oh and it can bloody shift when you want it to

Thanks for the reply,
I am currently getting 520-550 to a tank of diesel, but to be honest that doesn't bother me..
its: am I ruining a good car by not "hammering" it like a diesel "Rep" car
I am thinking about filter and EGR.. etc...
I was the same.. but I opted for the 170 TDi... great on a long trip.. not so sure around town,,
I am after a TSi 2.0 or 1.4 (160)... but want the extras the GT has.... I know I dont want much !!!!
but.. I think 400 on a tank is what I can really cope with... especially if it has the "poke" to go with it.. :-)
