Afternoon all, really struggling to get to the bottom of my VCDS issues, but think it's all about me retro-fitting the RNS 510 and phone kit. So in short I have a 10 plate Scirocco and fitted the following:

Address 37: Navigation (J0506) Labels: 1T0-035-680.clb
Part No SW: 1T0 035 680 D HW: 1T0 035 680 C
Component: RNS-MID H42 3800
Revision: AB001001

Address 77: Telephone (J412) Labels: 3C0-035-730.lbl
Part No SW: 5N0 035 730 D HW: 5N0 035 730 D
Component: Telefon 009 0511
Revision: --------

Address 19: CAN Gateway Labels: 1K0-907-530.lbl
Part No SW: 1K0 907 530 AD HW: 1K0 907 951
Component: J533 Gateway H16 0233
Revision: H16

I'm struggling to find out of this combination will give me Battery drain problems, and hence the VCDS issues

Also struggling to find out if I have coded things correctly as I believe certain fields should not be default, for example:
Shop #: WSC 00000 000 00000

Any suggestions?

Firstly, How do you know you have battery drain? Is VCDS telling you this OR have you been struggling to start your car in the mornings?
One thing I do know is that the battery that comes with the 'roc is a bit flakey. If you do lots of short journeys everyday, your battery might be struggling to charge up to full capacity. Solution to that is to get a better battery (Varta is pretty good, I've been told).

Secondly, I dont think your combination should give you a battery drain. The RNS unit (D) is ok, also, the bluetooth module usually goes off once you remove the key from the ignition.

Thirdly: You can gateway SW is post K/L (i.e. 1K0 907 530 AD), so shouldn't have battery drain issues with an RNS fitted. You can check your gateway activity using VCDS to test the output without a key in the ignition; It should go passive after sometime. To do this (I think) - go into the CAN Gateway module 19 > Go to measuring blocks (08) > Select measuring block 001 > Remove your key from the ignition - The line status should go passive after a while.
Finally, The WSC (Workshop Code) does not affect the coding of the module. It being on 00000000 etc is irrelevant, it's just one of the default VCDS assignments.

Hope this helps!!! All in all, let's know why you think you have a battery drain - your answer might be my first point
