Due to pick up next Thursday, what shall I expect on that day? Just fill in some forms and off we go? Or will I be in there long? Will I be setting up direct debits and all that fun stuff?

Yep pretty much. I wasnt there long. I paid the remainder of my deposit. Signed documents got the keys. Then he pulled the cover off and my jaw droped!!! Best part was driving it straight out of the showroom. Such a good feeling. Hope it all goes well for you and get some pics up when you get it.

Hahaha, even just reading that made me more excited, to be fair I'm probably just worrying because i am the worlds worst worrier but after reading what happened to brocky about his car , how easy it is for something to do wrong (even though I don't have nothing to worry about" the only one thing I could say is that the first time I went to order it and they called me a hour later saying I got accepted on the finance (which I didn't think I was going to) then obviously I went back to order it officially and signed everything I had too, I'm just worried about going there Thursday and them being like oh actually your credit check has come back different than what we thought so you can't have the car. But I suppose once they say your accepted does that mean your proper accepted,
Like I won't go there on Thursday and they do another credit check sort of thing,
If you get what I'm saying? Cor life story.

Patrick. Relax. It will be fine.

You've been approved for the finance, so you won't get knocked back for credit reasons now.

If you're unsure of what you will need to have to hand when you collect, just ask your dealer.

Assuming that you're buying new, the car will be taxed and you will have drive-away insurance.

It's likely that you'll just need proof of ID, both parts of your driving licence and possibly bank details. Other than that, chill, on the day, take your time make sure that everything is perfect before you drive away....and enjoy it man! :)

You are the man my friend, I just needed that cleared up too stop me worrying!

Hopefully there will be nothing wrong with the car, it would drive me crazy if any dents ect was on it

Yeah the dealer told me to bring in driving licence and my bank statements, he gave me my reg number and said get it insured for Thursday though? So maybe I won't get drive away insurance, but then I'm pretty sure he said in the phone call before that I would so who knows!

Bloody dealers!!

Ring him and confirm it.

He would have had to tax the car, so they will usually put 7 day insurance on it.

Double check the insurance, if your taking the 7 day free VW Insurance.as they gave me the details but I had to phone up and sort it out and the insurance company emailed the cover note to the dealer.

I've just look at something and it does say you do have to ring a number like you've said mate, my dealer has given me my reg number the other day and said insure it before Thursday, it's not coming up on the insurance websites as a registered car, will I have to wait a couple more days as maybe it's too soon?

My mum seems to think she's seen my car on the transporters lorry, she was in the area where my dealer is and said the lorry was heading towards the dealers and there was only one candy white scirocco on there, so it could be a possibility! This was yesterday night so maybe that's why my car won't come up on a website yet (if it was my car)

It won't come up as registered because they won't register it until Wed / Thu to give you maximum warranty. As long as you have the reg number you can sort out the insurance, just means you need to do it manually by model instead of reg look up.

The 7 days free insurance was no hassle and straightforward. 20mins on the phone.

Lovely stuff mate! I'll ring them Monday!
The wait till Thursday is like waiting for Christmas when I was 10! :hyper:

Does Volkswagen sell LED reg plate lights? Pretty off topic.

Yes, as they are standard on MY12 onwards Roccos that have Xenons.

I think I may get some from them, I didn't get Xenons but want led reg lights, someone at work told me that the cheaper ebay ones for example light up the reg plate area differently to official lights.
