hi am i right in assuming that this acts as a normal navigation unit and tells you the directions with a voice - eg take the 2nd exit ? in half a mile turn right etc.

Yes mate just as a normal sat nav, and with latest update can have speed cameras and POI's etc too!

Although it does not warn you verbally of speed cameras (or on the MFD) - just the little red symbols on the head unit screen to go by...

Some of the aftermarket in dash ones have better features & cheaper. Got a Pioneer in mine & has bluetooh built in,speed cameras,points of interest etc & dvd in motion.

I prefer the look of the OEM ones though, suits the dash nicer..
