Shipping Info

Post by Brocky »

There used to be a thread on here with info on shipping. The names of boats used by VW, the shipping schedules and the like.

I found the link to the thread, but it says that I'm not authorised to view that forum, so I presume it's been archived, or something...?

Anyway, my Roc was built on Monday and is either sitting on a dock waiting for the next boat or, with a bit of luck, on it's way....so I'm wondering if there is a way that I can suss out where it is and then track it with some degree of accuracy...?

Any info would be awesome. :yes:

Try these.

http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.portarrivals.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I used them a couple of weeks ago to track my new car from Emden,
Chances are yours could already have arrived in the UK by now. Put a search in for Setubal in Portugal as a starter on the port arrival site and check any names of ships that have recently arrived then do a live search on the marine traffic site. As far as I can remember the Setubal ships call at Sheerness or Port Of Tyne.
Hope this helps
IF IT'S NOT BROKEN
I'VE NOT TOUCHED IT YET !!

I had a confirmed BW of 6. Last Tuesday, the tracker had gone straight to 'In Transit' from 'Build Week Confirmed', skipping 'Build In Progress', so I rang my dealer and he confirmed that it had come off the production line the day before.
