I was giving my Roc a well earned wash this morning afer a heavy week of driving and spotted that the driver side fog light is cracked into 6 pieces with a puncture mark towards the bottom  Anybody any ideas on a replacement cost and labour charge at the dealers? :(

Thanks guys for your help, Im well up for doing this but im a car fixing virgin! Really! Ryan - to a skilled VW technician like yourself, 'pulling a front grill off' may sound like run of the mill stuff for you but to me.. :eyepop: Really is it THAT easy? What do i need to watch for? Do i need to put the car on a ramp or what? And what the hell are '3 25torx screws '?? Im off to googe them haha! Im off to order a fog light..

Hi. Just replaced my drivers side front foglight as mine was cracked across too :(

New light unit (1T0 941 700 D) was £60 from the VW main dealer. Found the black front grill part tricky to get off, even after reading the instruction book for the car which shows you how! You need to grab the two plastic 'fins' which point towards the centre grill and gently but firmly pull them away from the car. The lower one was very tight but twisting a little whilst pulling seemed to help. Once they are free, the grill section can then be eased out and off towards the centre of the car.

25torx screws have a pointed 'star-like' recess in the heads but luckily, as I don't have the right driver bit, they also have a convensional head slot so can be removed with an ordinary blade scrrewdriver.

Car look so much better now :)

Bit of hot water on the fins does the trick

Got the same problem too, anyone bought their replacement lamps from ebay? If so what has the quality been like?

Notice some for sale on E-bay are E marked others are not. How important is that?

Does anyone know how much it would cost for a new fog light bezel? (Part 103 in the diagram).

Thanks
