Hellooooo,
just wandered if anyone can help!
My current bluetooth won't connect to my phone. it says 'Phone is not compatible'
I know i need a new module but which one will work with my RNS 510 and the built in mic?
will the RNS510 need an upgrade?
I would also like it to work with streaming music too and plug 'n' play, so not very picky...
Any help appreciated!

What is your phone model?
I'm using rsap app and it works fine with RCD510 and my HTC device.

SIM Access Profile (SAP, SIM, rSAP)
This profile allows devices such as car phones with built-in GSM transceivers to connect to a SIM card in a Bluetooth enabled phone, thus the car phone itself doesn't require a separate SIM card. This profile is sometimes referred to as rSAP (remote-SIM-Access-Profile), though that name does not appear in the profile specification published by the Bluetooth SIG
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_ ... 2C_rSAP.29" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It seems like IOS the only mobile OS that does not support this profile officially... But you could try to search a third-party software.

Did you say you've searched on this topic?! I think a thread on bluetooth pops up an average of once every forthnight (since I have been on here). Have another look and see what u find.

Almost any phone uses RSAP nowadays.
You must change your module to a newer one. That's what I did.

iPhone's don't support rSAP. You will need the latest VW bluetooth module 9W7, have it in mine and works fine - syncs call list and phone book but no SMS support
