Hello all

I noticed today that my car is juddering under breaking, when i had my last service a few weeks ago they told me that i was running quite a lot of wear on my front pads and discs. I've been looking on awesomeGTI at uprated discs and pads as I can't afford to get a full big break kit as it is so expensive. I should really upgrade as im running 380bhp plus but as i said, it just costs so much to upgrade and after xmas really cant afford it.

What size disc can you run on OEM callipers on the R? if anyone could help me out on choosing some good new discs and pads that would be great.

I'd give Alex a call at AKS Tuning http://www.akstuning.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and speak to him about project mu pads and using TTS disks instead, they are 340mm but you don't end up with unswept area, about 1.5-2kg lighter and better cooling veins

Tarox strada pads and f2000 discs are very good on a standard car. But I don't think a like for like changeover would be enough for 380hp.

Just out of interest was your 380bhp on AMD's dyno??

A stage 2+ K04 TFSI typically gets about 340-350bhp. 370+BHP requires water methanol injection (WMI)
