Hi, this is my first post, I'm waiting for my new R line to arrive next week.

Does the R badging come as standard above the glove box, placed within the dash board.

No it doesn't. This only comes with the 'R'.

I bought an R line last month and got VW to change some of the interior parts (stereo surround, strip above glove box and door handles) to the same as the 'R' interior. It makes a massive difference in my opinion.

It's odd as when using the VW configurator, the rline does appear to have some "r" badge on the metal strip above the glovebox. ALso, the stereo surround, steering wheel and door handle inserts are gloss black. I am pretty sure R-Line's don't have these, unless it has changed recently?

If you do order, get your dealer to confirm either way...

No it has not changed - the gloss black bits come if you select the Lugano black wheels as an option. Its a flakey combination and has caused confusion in the past but thats the way they market it...

Your local VW dealer's parts counter....

It is misleading and I complained to the dealership when I got mine as the interior didn't look like it did on the configurator I was looking at when I ordered it. After a bit of backwards and forwards they agreed to change my parts FOC. The steering wheel and air vents are also black on the 'R' but I didn't get these changed.

Black styling pack/wheels not an option on the R-line. Not in the UK anyway.
