Is it possible to just run the Navigation voice commands on the RNS315 without having the radio or CD on in the background?

If so how do you do it?

Just mute the radio - job done.

Yep, mute the other audio but the sat nav audio will continue. I think if you turn the radio/media volume all the way down with the knob or the multifunction wheel volume control it auto stops/mutes playback. But the nav still works.
