Spotted this scirocco GTS 2.0 TSI manual at vw romford.
Think its ghastly looking.

Nice red stitching on the leather inside .... but there the tasteful stuff ends

I think that's the design for the Scirocco GTS. I was at my local dealer this weekend, and I saw a Scirocco there with stripes. Interior looks neat, but the exterior isnt for me

Yep they had a white one over here. Ruined.

I guess it's what the individual likes. I had stripes on my ST, originally the car (I brought it 2nd hand) didn't have them, but I wanted them. I wouldn't go for it now at all as my tastes have changed, but whomever brought this wanted that.

Can they be ordered without the stripes?

A mate of mine who is not into cars but knows I am ,told me there was a fantastic new Scirocco at the local stealers. Oh I said , please describe it. Well , he said. It's got stripes all over it and looks really nice

I have just seen one at my dealer today (TDI version) and I agree with the other posts, it just ain't my cup of tea. Interior touches are very nice with 'GTS' on the headrests for example, but the stripes I feel really don't suit the Scirocco.

This model just goes to show the Germans do have a sense of humour.

I echo the above comments, nice interior but the exterior is misguided and makes you think what were VW UK marketing thinking?

I think it looks ok actually - lets face it, none of us drive a Roc to blend in subtly with the background!

The Indium Grey with the Black stripes actually looks good IMO. The white stripes on all the other versions are really bad....

I'm just looking at getting the GTS in Indium Grey.. I'm obviously having a mid life crisis...

I don't think it's to bad. Their are a lot worse cars out their with stripes on them. Ford fiesta st for example i think looks horrid. Besides I wouldn't class it as a chav car. Most chavs drive shit fiestas and corsas with flashing lights underneath. Chavs wouldn't be able to afford a scirocco.

Now that is true. After asking peoples opinion on the car I've got my eye on, it's about a 50/50 split of nice and "meh".... Roll on tuesday when I get to test drive it.
