On the hunt for either a candy white or black gt tdi 170 with black leather, bar this I'm not overly fussed, the newer steering wheel would be nice. Got around £13k give or take if the right one came up. Just can't find one looking on autotrader and pistonheads daily any were else??

Itching for one now the weather is getting better

Yes - as mentioned, you will probably be stretched to get a 170 for 13K, but should be plenty of 140's for around that money.

I'd happily go up a bit more to around 14 seen a few nice ones but both have had the DSG box and are private, I'm just a bit nervous buying from a private seller with out warranty unless its the manual

Perhaps if a 170 was out of your price range get the 140 and get it remapped. You would easily get it to 170+

I was looking in to that but if I'm going down the remap route I'd rather map a 170 and have 200+ to play with. There about its just waiting for the right one that's frustrating

I think you will find a 170 in your budget if your prepared to wait. I recentley bought a 59 plate 170 with low mileage for just under 12,000.

What about a Warrant Direct or similar warranty to cover any potential issues. If you get a lowish mileage Roc you should be able to get their top level cover.
