My drivers windows rattles like a pig when in the closed position, anyway sorted a temporary fix by spraying silicon in the top of the windows seal which is fine for about a week then hey presto it's back. I'm assuming this seal is going to need replacing, anyone else had this problem?

My drivers window rattles too, but only when it is cold. It's been a pain the last few days, but now it's warming up again it's stopped.

Out of interest, which silicon spray do you use?

I have just put Glycerin on mine which is actually cough medicine that I got from the chemist for a couple of quid. My dad told me that's what he always used to use and it works a treat to soften up the rubber and make it seal better to the windows. It is a bit of a messy job but only takes a few minutes and a whole bottle would last for years.

Silicon spray doesn't last long enough - get yourself some Gummi Pflege instead as it lasts a lot longer, and is the proper stuff for the seals. It comes in a bottle with a sponge applicator on the top - similar what some shoe polishes come in. Its about £8 for a bottle.

Personally, I wouldn't use Glycerin, but each to their own.
