eRwin and Service Guides

Post by yellowplum »

Has anyone dowloaded/printed any of the guides from VW eRwin regarding the Scirocco? I was looking at getting a service guide for reference it isn't very expensive to subscribe for the hour or even the day - just wondered what is worth downloading and printing and what do you get for the days access if anyone has done it.

I have used the hourly pass. Initially I just went for a vin search relate to my vehicle. I've since gone back and downloaded as much as I could with hourly passes. There seems to be no limit on how many docs you can view and save within the hour.

I don't quite get the differences between the rates that supposedly provide printing rights and those that don't. To me you could just save the PDF and print them later with no restriction even on the cheaper rate. Maybe I'm missing something.

Haven't tried it yet, not sure if you can save to PDF seems you can only print at the moment - was told they keep changing the rules quite often. Have ordered a spare print cartridge first to make sure that I have enough to print with :)

you could always install something like cutePDF which is a printer driver that allows you to create a pdf instead of printing out.

My understanding is that they have prevented you being able to use them somehow to PDF, I have Creative Suite so I have PDF printers installed. I haven't tried to access it yet because there is some technical difficulty with the system accepting MwSt numbers

Up to the date I posted my last msg I saved multiple PDF files from there with no issues. Right click and save after document loads up in the middle.

Thanks, finally VW sorted out the tax problem so I didn't have to pay the VAT, anyway ordered away for the day - downloaded as much as possible and sent it off to be printed and bound downstairs lol.

Hopefully it proves useful for what I needed from it.
