Scirocco Central

The new Volkswagen Scirocco GTS will offer a range of styling upgrades over the R-Line model on which it is based.

Volkswagen’s new addition to the Scirocco range features a pair of stripes running from bonnet to boot, contrasting coloured door mirror cappings, a panoramic sunroof and 18in Thunder alloys specific to the GTS.

It is available in Candy White, Salsa Red, Deep Pearl Black and Indium Grey, each with contrasting trim.

Standard R-Line equipment includes navigation, adaptive chassis control, two-zone climate control and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Scirocco GTS is available with a 175bhp 2.0-litre TDI or a 207bhp 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine, with six-speed manual and DSG gearboxes available with both. Prices range from £27,945 to £29,395 and order books open from January 2.

I like the alloys but indifferent to the rest of the upgrades/colours.

Not for me that one, a little 'tacky' for a Roc.

As per the R-Line I don't get why anyone would buy this.

Yes, as mentioned before, it just looks tacky, they have tarted up a great looking car for no reason. 'R' line fine, but GTS is not a good move.

How much bhp do you think those go-faster stripes will add to this Roc ?

Mmm not really a fan, the interior looks great with the red stitching very Gti golf but the exterior lets it down imo

Saw one of these in my local dealers last week. Looks even more boy racer in the flesh.

spotted one of these in a dealers today love the interior but those wheels and stripes are an acquired taste

I haven't seen one on the road but I was in my local dealer on Friday and they had a white gts in the showroom. I think it looks good but it is an acquired taste.

I saw an Indium Grey GTS in York yesterday.
Sorry, but not my style at all. If I was going to spend the thick end of £30,000 on a car I wouldn't want the neighbours to think I'd ram-raided Halfords.

Actually sat in one today. Would never trade mine for it... BUT. Yeah, the interior is something to behold.

I'd buy it and simply remove the bloody stripes if I was after a Rocco right now. Love the interior.

Just ordered my candy 177 GTS, with xenons, cruise, folding mirrors & 90% tinted rear windows.

Hope you deleted the stripes
