Hi
After a few days waiting i finally picked up my scirocco yesterday, i'm over the moon with it and so far its easily been the best car i've ever owned. However the car has the RCD 510 head unit however bluetooth is not installed. Is there anybody that could fit this for me on the forum and approx how much would the retrofit cost??
Cheers

I think fitting is relatively easy if you have the right box and loom. The adapter looms that fit between the RCD510 and the existing car loom should give you a plug'n'play solution that will need very little VCDS coding. A new car with a new bluetooth box will also avoid campatibility issues.
There's enough room behind the climatronic unit to fit the bluetooth box in the centre console rather than under the seat. This makes wiring easier. Getting wiring from there to the radio is easy, and to the headlining for the microphone isn't too bad if you've got a bent coat hanger and some patience.
I believe some of my difficulties have been because the loom that came with my box had to be spliced in to the existing wiring, rather than a plug in adapter. And because my 2009 car isn't too keen on the 2012 bluetooth box.
