Bi-xenon lights question - how to enable AFS

Post by CbIP »

Hi guys! I have a question about bi-xenon headlights.
I've retrofitted a steering wheel with buttons instead of no-buttons steering wheel. And I think, I missed something in VAG-COM coding, because my lights do not follow the steering wheel rotation.
So the question is - does the Roc have an AFS system? In other words, should my Roc turn the light when I rotate the steering wheel? I tried to drive curves at 20-40 km/h (12-25 mph) and the light remained stationary.
I do not have any errors in VAG-COM, corner lights work great, and xenon lights test (down-left-right-up) is OK. I do not have light assist installed.
Also, sometimes, my Roc shifts lights up or down for a couple of inches (in traffic jams).
If I miscoded something, please tell me the right settings to restore the lights.

Re: Bi-xenon lights question (without light assist)

Bi-Xenons do not turn with the direction of the wheels, there are separate lights which are triggered by the steering angle sensor. It looks like you need to check the coding of the steering angle sensor and ensure that the cornering lights are enabled.

Thank you!
Cornering lights work great! Before Roc I had Golf 6 with xenon lights, and they were able to turn. In other words, the AFS system was enabled. I just thought that Roc has the same feature.
Is it somehow possible to enable the AFS system?
Is it OK that my Roc shifts lights up and down sometimes for a couple of inches?
