Squeek/Groan from Clutch

Hi All,

I'm experiencing what could best be described as a groan when pulling away from stationary in my Roc. Would appear to be the clutch, and it is most likely to happen 1) when engine is cold 2) when slightly more revs than idle are set to help with pulling away.

Anyone know if there are any obvious faults, gaiters that need replacing, items which need lubrication?

Thanks RW1/C

Balls looks like I need to pay for that then as I'm out of warranty. Any ideas on cost?

Also knowing the urgency would be good (i.e. will it suddenly break and leave me stranded?!)

Parts including clutch assembly anywhere between £220 and £250.
Labour 3 to 4 hours.

Rubbish! That's quite a lot!

Might go back to the dealer I bought from an try to claim under SOGA - within the first 6 months - should be fun!

Pleased to report this has been sorted today under goodwill from the purchasing garage, at my local dealer. New clutch & release bearing, and fitting. £800 total cost. Thanks for your help in diagnosing - unfortunately the TPI listed in the other thread had disappeared from the workshop computer (I helped look!). But was able to play the YouTube clip & then the car obliged by making the noise twice before we left the car park!

Really good news. Wish more dealers took their customers seriously.
