RNS 315 Really buggy with my iPod Classic?

Hi, I am enjoying my new Scirocco very much - with one niggle.

The sound system is solid and well-featured, although I find the menu system pretty clunky for navigating through my iPod Classic 160Gb.

More importantly, it's pretty buggy. Examples include:

- Skipping between tracks, sometimes it will start playing them with no sound.. The timer is still moving but no sound comes out.
- Can lag when moving around. Sometimes I need to turn it off to get it working again.

Has anyone experienced these issues; and if so, what is the resolution?

I understand the RNS 315 is virtually impossible to upgrade without the official 199 Euro SD Card.

Do you think it came with the latest firmware anyway?

Thanks

Maybe not the RNS315. Have a look through this iPod skipping.

Your Media-In controller firmware should be upto date as the production line was updated late September 2012 for rev 0240.

Check here for latest. Media Centre for firmware, click "downloadcentre" in the right side column.
Rev.0240 is on Link to 0240 which near the bottom area of the screen

My Scirocco arrived at my house on the 18th October. I presume it landed in the UK a few days earlier?

So I should be up to date? How can I check my version?

Today it behaved well..

I suspect it is upto date.

The only way to check is with diagnostics...

Or try loading the firmware as per the instructions. If it is upto date, then it will give this message
"Update to same version not possible"

The update file of USB-device is identical with software-index of multimedia interface MEDIA IN.
Update is not possible. Please return to point 1). If this meesage occurs for a second time in
upload routine, you are already using the most current software-index of multimedia interface MEDIA IN.
