Help, could someone please tell me if the struts and suspension components are the same ie diesel, 2.0 petrol, 1.4 petrol
I have hit a kerb and bent something and going to pick up a complete leg and wishbone to fit my 2010 post wk45 1.4 (160)
many thanks

Suspension components are not engine related directly. Its what sales standard code the Scirocco was built to and also what model year. eg. I have a factory standard 1.4 but my suspension system is built to 2.0TSi standard, ie. springs.
You need to look at the label on the strut to be sure. You will need to get the right one to balance up with the opposite side. My guess is that it will be 1T0 413 031HC which was common for all model years.
You'll maybe also looking at a hub/bearing as well. They are tending to be a little bit delicate

And obviously the track rod for straightness.

checked it today, and the subframe had shifted backwards (witness marks on the paintwork of chassis leg) I slackened off all the bolts and it sprung back into place, but found the track rod was bent and looking at the camber it looks like its added a degree of camber, so deciding to get damper, hub carrier, hub, wishbone and track rod.
expensive lack of concentration eh!!!!
