How many miles did you get you of your first set of tyres?

Ive got a GT with 18's on, now ive just hit 20k miles and still on the first set.

Seems a very long time to have a set of rubbers on for, but looking at them, they still look fine?

Getting a bit worried though coming into autumn with rain/ice etc.

Any thoughts?

Out of the original continentals 19,000 out of the front then out of the replacement dunlops 33,000 again on the front.

i just changed all 4 on friday they had around 2mm-3 mm all round but due to the mileage i do and weather recently they were worth replacing

Still on the original P Zeros at 32k miles

In my experience Camskill are good on pricing for tyres but you need to watch their prices carefully as they seem to go up and down a fair bit. I bought a set of 19" P Zeros for £151 each about a month ago and just now they are £219 each for the exact same tyre.

Possibly due to P Zeros being given a top rating in a recent survey - supply & demand I guess.

I think I might have got 32k out of my P Zeros too but I had to change one front one at 15k with a side wall puncture and the other at 22k for its MOT as it had a bulge from hitting a pothole.
Interestingly when it went in for its MOT / 3 year service the VW dealer's report said that there was 8mm tread on both front tyres and 7mm tread on the original back tyres. On that basis the rear tyres should last 140,000 miles  :D

almost 28k on my original Bridgestone Potenzas.

I think unless you demand the max performance out of your tyres, the reasonal brands like Hankook should be enough. Anything over 200 £ is way too much. 100-130 is about right.

Tyres is one of the few things I don't grudge spending money on. You never know when you'll need the performance until you don't have it therefore I believe you should buy the "best" that your budget allows.

Around 15k from the front OEM Pirelli P7's, now on Michelin PS3's, lets see how long they put up with my abuse

I've ordered P Zero's for fitting on friday morning. I've still got the original PZ's on the rear so I thought I'd match up again and see if they last better this time.

Just noticed that Camskill have dropped the price ofVW OEM (K1) P Zeros (235/35 X 19) back down to circa £160 each.
