Hi, i have fitted the reverse camera and it works fine but fails to display the video image when reverse is selected. I can manually select it from the screen and from reading elsewhere know that it needs a software update to allow this to be displayed along side the optical parking sensors. My problem is this, I have tried to update my unit so many times by downloading the files and burning them to a dvd including the video in motion. I have never been able to get this to work so I guess im asking if there is some kind member out there willing to help. Id be happy to pay for someone to burn me a working cd to include these features.

You and me both mate, spent a small fortune trying to get my camera to work, so far vw and all leading auto technicians in Fife & Tayside can't remedy the problem, good luck !!

All RNS510 should work with the reverse camera.
Have You verified that the 12v cable you fitted from the central control Unit to the RNS actually gives +12v when You select reverse?

Yes my rns works fine with the camera but with the old firmware installed you have to manually select the camera from the touch screen. When reverse is selected the OPS screen is displayed.

Is there anyone who has updated their unit and no longer needs the burnt disc?

Sounds like coding to me.

Have you coded the RNS for reverse camera (low) installed?

No its been coded with my vcds. Part of the update was for the automatic display from the reverse camera on selection of reverse gear.
