iPhone 4S -> RCD510 aux not working?!?

Post by Plaicy88 »

Hiya fella's,

Been searching the site for 2 days and canny find my answer...

Basically i am trying to play my iPhone 4s through my AUX point hooked up to the RCD510.

I am using a cheap 3.5mm lead, which used to work on my old stereo.

I have disconnected my Media-in cable which i know disables Aux-in, but i have also tried connecting a USB stick (with no audio files on, just films) and media-in does not appear on the screen? I have also reset the stereo.

Can anybody help me please, or has anybody had this issue? I have been to the local dealership and they want to charge me for an hours work, Assholes!

Do i need a different cable for the iphone? Basically i am stuck!!

Thanks in advance...

Have you enabled the aux-in on the RCD510 under the "settings menu?

The USB stick will work if you put audio files on it. RVD510 will not recognise the films.

From new the UK, the Rocco is supplied with 2 MDI cables, one USB and one for iPHone / iPod. It would be best to connect your iPhone using this cable into the MDI. part No. is 000 051 446C. You can get them from dealers and ebay
