Got quoted £80 here, including the spoiler (I have panoramic too). Must be the difference of economies as that's expensive to me!
I might get it done, dunno. But looks nice on yours

Okay. I say do it at that price!
It was a local guy doing it in his garage at home.
I went to a spray shop here and they quoted me a price between £320 and £535!..... Ridiculous price!

Should of made a holiday of it and come over here and visited "non tourist" England. lol.
I would of advised to make it a week that included the British GP (as the place is located in near that area), but pfft, wouldn't suggest that for a while.

Hello!
Got me some adjustable coilovers and got a friend fitting them this morning. I don´t know exactly how much it´s lowered, but it´s just right!
Here´s a pic right after. Preliminary iPhone pic, more to come.

So I decided to paint my engine cover. Thought it was a bit too much black stuff in there. Settled on a silver colour close to the cars colour. I think it dresses up the engine bay quite nicely. Here´s a pic!

Nice works
How did you do the Engine Cover? Is it coated? Are the VW Logo and Engine type logo detachable?

Thanks!
The vw logo is stuck on with double sided tape. The letters are not. I handpainted them using a small brush. I used 4 coats of white primer, followed by 4 coats of silver. and 3 coats of satin matte clear varnish. I used waterbased colors. I did not sand the cover as it is has very much detail. So I just left the texture as is. A good cleaning is vital to get the paint to stick, yeah and the black parts are also hand painted.
Not hard at all to accomplish!

Decided to polish up the cover over the turbo. Too dark outside now to get some photos in the engine bay, I´ll do that tomorrow.

Ørjan,
Did the use of lamin-x change the colour of your lights? It looks good

The lights are changed to leds, I have Lamin-x on them so they blend a bit more with the front, the headlights don´t have Lamin-x
It looks a bit more blue on the pic than in real
Thnking of putting Lamin-x on the mirror blinkers also
I think that would look nice!
Thanks for watching!

What did you use to polish up the turbo cover mate? Looks

Thanks! Washed it properly with degreaser, Started with 400grit sandpaper, followed up with 600 - 800 - 1200grit. So it becomes increasingly smoother. Then I just used autosol metal polish. Be sure to use it dry. I just used kitchen paper for the polishing. Basically lots of elbow grease
The look is more brushed than chrome like

So, been quiet for a while now. My next mod is to color code all the trim parts inside the car to the same color as the outside. reflex silver. Some of the parts had scratches and small dings on them so they needed this!
I´m doing it now since I`m about to change the speakers in the front to some Focal PS-165. Gonna put in some dynamat in the doors to keep the good sound in and the noise outside also.
Here´s a pic of the door card. Just epoxyed in place the new tweeter! Fits as a glove in the door!

Actually not that hard to get the parts loose with the right tools of plastic. You have to really pry sometimes till they pop out! Haven´t broken anything yet!
Here is the parts.
Edit: If you were wondering, the parts for the drivers side door is missing, haven´t taken that door apart yet!

To be continued!
