CandyBoyTsi122, if it's the tinted glass your after why not use a pro tinting specialist? I'm sure it'd be a lot cheaper than buying the OEM glass from VW too!
Have a look at this site for all the info you could ever need on after market tinting:

Cheers mate. My cars on a PCP at the moment, Volkswagen stated that it had to be removed if the car was to be returned at the end of 3years which i am going to do and upgrade to a 2.0tsi model maybe. Any ideas where to go from here Jake?

Yeah I'm on a PCP too mate. To be honest, if you want it done I'd just do it. If your looking at trading in your current car at the end it just comes down to what the dealers think it's worth at that point. On my last 2.0 TSI I had Eibach lowering springs and spacers on the wheels and the dealers still took it as trade in. The only time the car HAS to be in the original condition is if your going to hand the car back and walk away. At the end of the day, IF you did decide to go with the after market tints, remember the film they use can be removed pretty easliy.

the only trouble with film tints i found they tend to make the heated rear window elements really reflect back into your rear view mirror at night on lighted motaways . its the only time i ever have noticed them. tinted film from the outside shows the edge of the window as very yuk looking due to the raised black dots shading not letting the film stick competly flat to the glass. had film done at a pro fitting co and stuck with it a week then had it removed. if your going to do it. fit the original or if you can live with imperfection then its the film.

I really would like to get the OEM's but i know it will cost a real fortune. I mean its £250 as a factory option. Wonder what it'd be to purchase after. Don't even wanna know.
Aftermarket by a proffesional. Costing around £140. and £60 to removed in the future.
Still i have no idea what to do...
Should i just go with the aftermarkets then?

Hello
I am regretting not going for the tinted glass, anyone know if it's worth getting fitted after, and if so where, I am in the northwest if that helps.

Hi there, I regretted it alot, But i got them done aftermarket by an approved garage, and to be honest , they look much better than the factory option! It cost me £120. I got it done from Eclipse Window Tinting.
