Wow - I don't think many (if any) of us prospective owners are currently owners of a MK I or II, although my dad had a hairdressery white colour-coded MKII Scala (the white alloys were a bit too much)
Welcome to the forum!

I thought Id come and see what the new bunch are like ...
We have a few pre-existing scirocco forums for us older rocco lovers .. you'd be surprised at the numbers to be honest!
Im trying to convince my dad to buy a new one hopefully he does then I can drive them both

Very nice car there. The body colour rear lights aren't my cup of tea, but looks good.

Cheers guys .. Its just turned 16 so its one of the youngest Rocco's out there (with the exception of the new ones of course!)
Yea I did the rear lights myself but have an original set too just in case I ever decide to go back ;-P
The front end isnt as mint im afraid but still not too bad..

very tidy car bluestreak especially with those rivage alloys i remember yearning for the a f/g plate mk II gti in oak green or helios blue for those wheels, very underestimated, what do the mkI and II owners think of the mk III, on a plus it has revised interest in a much overlooked motor

Thanks all, I looked long and hard for one of the last made rocco's to ensure it was in clean condition etc..
I know exaclty the cars you're talking about the oak green is very rare saw one on ebay the other day already had bids up to £1500 and it still had 5 days to go!
I like the Rivage alloys, gives it a more original look and they shine up well..
The Mk1 and Mk2 owners are mixed about the Mk3, just as I am, some love it, in fact one or two have ordered or are close to, some loathe it as is to be expected.
To be fair I think its such a radically different car its hard to compare the two..
I took my Mk2 to my local showroom over the weekend and the sales guys were complimenting it (suck ups!) while I went and had my first in person taste of the Mk3. I have to say I do like it, the lines on the top are very nice and the curvature isnt as bad as I'd thought it would be. The interior is fantastic and really impressed me and my dad (a merc man through and through I was there trying to convince him to buy the new passat cc - which is also a beautiful car).
All in all it is a really nice car and perhaps one for me for the future, but Im going to hold on to as many Mk2's as I can till theyre all gone
