I've currently got a Golf GTi '05 which I'm hoping to trade in for a Scirocco once I get the spec sorted out.

What are you trading in?

I'm in Oxford too :)

I'll be chopping in my '99 Puma as it's time for a change and 3 lights are permanently on on the dash board! However, it'll have to scrape through another MOT yet as I won't be ready to order until March.

have you got a delivery date yet langlord, i was shocked how little i was offered at trade in for my a3 so will be hopefully getting shot privately to rake in some extra pennies

you'll notice a difference in the torque from the tfsi (have same engine in my a3) compared to the vtec in everyday driving, its very forgiving in third if you are feeling lazy.

dealer yesterday said they we getting a lot of interest from audi owners

i fear audi are losing the plot, given equipment, current product range and their residuals also suffering

vw got it right for people who want something different and practical, I even think my mountain bike may fit in the back

Asked my dealer for a trade in price for my low mileage '05 Mk5 Gti . After telling me what good nick it was in etc - Offered me £10500 as a special deal and free servicing on the new Roc. :shake: It was all I could do not to laugh!
I'll be selling the Gti privately and I've ordered my Rocco via broker. Should end up saving £3000 ! (Hopefully)

I'm trading in my wife's 12 year old BMW Compact (scrappage scheme)...and she is going to (continue to) drive my BMW 320d M-sport.

Somehow, I've ended up driving her Compact for the last 2 years - so its going to be quite a step up. Air-con, a working heater, working electric windows......such luxury.....

WOOOW. I have realized that i am one of the rare ones on here that did not trade something sporty/fast for the rocco. Before i ordered my roc, i was driving 2 different cars. Get ready :eyepop: : The toyota rav4 07 model (great car) and second (and dont kill me  ) a mercedes-benz s320l 2005 model. I preffered the toyota over it but now that i got my scirocco, nothing can stand in its way :D :p

Going from a Mazda 323 1,5 1998 to a Scirocco TDI 170 - should be quite an upgrade :)

Martdy:-

£10500 is a good part ex price on an 05 reg GTI, Golf GTI holding 50% of its list price after 4 years is not to be sniffed at. That car will be on the forecourt for £12500, and the dealer likes to make his 15-20% on the used cars too. Unless you have thousands of pounds worth of options on that car, you'll not do noticeably better privately than that (parkers part ex price=£9745, private good condition=£11340, based upon 5 door variant, standard equipment with average mileage - 3 doors worth £300 less).

Some people see the forecourt price for used cars and think that their car is worth that, but the reality is that a dealer doesn't take a part ex to do you a favour, they do it to make money.

Came from a Golf GT Sport TDI170, 57 plate.
