Scirocco Central

I placed my order for my new Scirocco at the end of January and got a confirmed build date of week 13. So just under three months to wait to take delivery of the car.

I decided to give the Dealer a ring today just check on the progress, I was told that my cars build week had been pushed forward to week 20, I asked why? They couldn’t give me a reason.

I have a bit of a dilemma on my hands.

My current car is due its MOT before the new date, and it is very likely it will need a lot of work done on it to keep it road worthy.

I am also unhappy that I had to phone them to find this out (how long would the dealer have waited before telling me)?

If they have pushed it back once what are the chances of doing it again?

So..

What should I do now, I really want the car but feel I need some kind of compensation, or is there anything I can say to get them to speed up the process??

Tell you want a loan car. Thats what i did when i bought the car as it turned up 1 month late. They gave me a 1.2 polo which was shite but at least it got me around. I had to sell my Audi to get the deposit so was without a car.

Definitely ask, or should I say DEMAND a loan car.

we are currently waiting delivery of my daughters new VW UP and our dealers paid for our trades in MOT

Thanks for the suggestions, been to the dealer they are looking into why it has been delayed so much, the manager seems to think it could be due to the DAB option. Or apparently it could be something todo with the yearly refresh/update?? Apparently the option for the 210tsi manual had disappeared and an order for this model could not be placed??

They weren't 100% sure what this all ment but say they will get back to me by end of play Tuesday.
