Was bored earlier this evening so thought I would get some insurance quotes just
For a laff , to see how much it would cost for me to insure a roc r . Even though I can't afford one
Was just interested to see. Brand new r came out at £1951.28 annually . And a 210bhp gt came out
At £1951.28 aswell. How weird is that? Thought r would be alot more than that. Also corsa vxr was £1937.50.
Would never have corsa vxr, to boy racer, chav tastic..but was just comparing them. I'm only 19 btw.
Seems weird that a roc r is only £13.78 More to insure than a corsa vxr.

Wait :/ your 19 and scirocco r insurance came in less than 2grand, somethings not write there. people over 21+ pay atleast 1500,
im 19 and ive got a 1.4 tsi 122ps and its 2200.

Iv had my license since I was 17 , and I have 2 years ncb. So 2 years driving. That's with my mum on insurance aswell admittedly . Multiple insurance compare websites came out at that price. Don't forget though, insurance can also change due to the location you live in, like high crime rate area etc.

My R insurance went upto £320 this year ;-)

Im 18 and i may order one in the summer and an estimated quote for it was 1900 starting from april! but of course it will go down i hope as its 950 in may for my Ibiza Cupra Mk5! can't wait i must say!!

At 19 my 210GT was about £1800. This year looks like its hopefully going to be £728. £732 for an R. I can now also get insurance on things like 370Z etc.. Must be because I'm 21 now.

Agreed....cheapest is not always best undoubtedly if you have to claim

I'd happily pay bit more for better customer service too!

just because a few people complain doesn't make them bad, Barclays had 12,273 complaints last year but ive never had a problem with them

What insurance companies are these quotes from? Renewal quotes on my 140 TDi are coming in at £5000+ :O

im 21 and have had my 65 plate Roc R a week today, i pay £800 a year!

Rocco R 23 and i pay just shy of 650

rocco R 27 with 23 year old Gf on insurance - £407

£450 I think 8yrs no claims

how the hell have you got an R at 21

Insurance for me for either a facelift Rocco R / Golf 7R was £238 fully comp! 25yo and 4yrs no claims.
Then again i ended up getting an R32 and that was £409.. I'm hoping it will be lower come May!
