anyone know of any companys that offer good new prices with big discounts. i found orange wheels who will knock almost £3200 off a new car? just wondering if anybody knows of anything better.

I just ordered a 210 Tsi. I got £4050 off. This includes £1000 from VW if you use there PCP.

Just got £4500 off a stock vehicle at Wrexham VW includes £1000 from VW including leather.

I got £4000 knocked off the price of the GT bluemotion, one VW garage threw me out for unreasonable haggling! One garage agreed to knock it down from 24,050 to 20,050 but any extras would be full price. I did manage to get a little discount on the extras by quick talking ie I will take folding wing mirrors, rear parking sensor, dynaudio and DAB radio for 1100 as opposed to approx 1200

Took a lot of arguing and as I said one garage threw me out. Was very happy with the deal, just waitin for my car now - expected delivery early April.

Numbers are essentially

Base model GT bluemotion £24,010
Price negotiated £21405 - saw a number similar to this is a weekly car mag whilst waiting for dent to be repaired, so took a photo and haggled a bit then showed them the photo and continued to negotiate.

VW contribution £1000 - from their finance package PCP

Total cost to me £20405

Discount therefore £3605

So apologies for the additional £400 I knocked off myself

I was down at my dealership at the weekend for another reason, I did get talking to a salesman who said that there are some good to deals to be had on Sciroccos at the moment, not that I am in the market. He did offer to get an 'R' on site for me to look at, too tempting! But no.

The deals are out there I got £4500 off a stock car, blue motion, dsg and Black Pearl and leather and top px plus mats, flaps and full tank of fuel. Experience with the dealer on a few issues has been rubbish but can just about put up with that.

Those deals are seeming a bit more realistic now, when you consider that £1000 of it is coming from VW central by way of deposit contribution, and not from the dealer.

I am not fussed where the money comes from - as they say in Lock Stock £100 is still £100, or in my case £1000

Did you go armed with quotes from online 'introducers' like the drivethedeal etc?

I got £4k off mine with the £1k VW contribution. I got mine through orangewheels.

I ordered a 210 with DSG on the 18th of last month with Deep Pearl black as the only option.

Payed £19,230 for it. Tax free, ba dom tsch!

name and shame the dealership that threw you out for unreasonable haggling what a joke

do their salesmen get sacked for unreasonabley ripping people off ? ie what about the people who go in there and pay full or near full price for cars

they dont like it when you play them at their own game , they all want the bat , and the ball
