it doesn't state a maximum size in the manual but it needs to be formatted FAT(<2Gb)/FAT32(>2Gb).

I know a few people who are using small hard drives without any problems such as the Samsung S2

I have seen a forum member use a 500GB drive, i dont think you will have an issue with 60gb, i wouldn't go mad though as i think there is a limit to the amount of folders etc you can have, anyway 60gb is more than enough music for anyone ?

yeh thats what i was thinking 60gb is plenty plus you need a caddy that takes it power from the usb cable or you will have cables everywere thanks lads

I'm using a Samsung S2 1TB, 200gb on drive at mo, reading them all is no problem. formatted to fat16 as can read limitless folders and single mp3's. Fat32 dident work for me.
