Can anyone tell me the correct part numbers for Mintex brake pads or Redstuff for my Scirocco, both front and rear, VW customer service not very helpful lol

Not sure but all I'll say is dont waste your money on the EBC's, go direct to Mintex.

why would vw customer services give you a part number for non oem equipment on your car

worth looking on websites of euro car parts, i've used Brakes International for Mintex pads for my porsche set up and service ahs been spot on

I wanted to know the size of the rear pads since there are 2 sizes. I can only imagine Beadles wanted money from me to check.

Rear disc size is in the handbook which for a 2.0TSI should be 288mm thus Mintex MDB2580. You can visually check these are correct by looking at the pad if the pad has spring clips top and bottom this part is correct. However if the pad has a spring clip along the back then you need MDB1377 as you've only got 255mm disks.
The front disk size is 312mm thus you need MDB2604.

Remember with Mintex if you want "performance" pads rather than factory equivalent pads you need to specify a pad formulation code after the part number e.g. MDB2580M1144, MDB2580M1155 or MDB2580M1166. The M1155 and M1166 formulations are not technically road legal due to not meeting the relevant performance specification when coupled with factory callipers and are thus marked for race/track use only Strictly speaking with these compounds you should inform your insurer that you've fitted modified brake pads.

The Mintex equivalent to Redstuffs would probably be M1144's which whilst commonly available in the MDB2604 shape to fit the front axle they are pretty hard to source in the MDB2580 shape for the rear axle.

The 1144's are quite noisy in traffic / town. Good on a track, quite tough and take a good hammering. I estimate lasted me 4/5 track days, they are 80% worn at the moment.

I'm going to change mine for a set of Tarox Strada pads front & rear quite soon. Slightly less friction (1144's are 0.44, Strada's are 0.39-0.43), but hopefully not as noisy and a little more progressive.
