Well just called VW Customer Services to get confirmation it arrived ok in the UK as getting paranoid now after a 4 month wait!! Well apparently the system has not been updated yet to enable them to confirm but it should do over the weekend and was advised to call Monday to check if need be.

Also the guy on the phone advised you can track your order online via the VW website under Customer and then Track my order if you know the commission number. Didn't realise you could do that although I bet it's on here to advise somewhere. So will be checking tomorrow.....

I've just had the same letter. I'm a bit concerned about the part that read... "delivery times for some models have extended significantly beyond the norm, something that has impacted you order."

I think a call to my dealer is in order.

Finally some further news. My car arrived at the dealer today so picking it up Friday afternoon.

As an example of current build times - hope this helps!

Purchased 1.4 tsi Scirocco week 23
Built week 28
Arrived in the UK week 30

Hopefully pick up week 31!

Confirmed, pickup is set for this Friday afternoon

At last, Woohoo! It did have 10 miles on the clock but I forgot to take the picture (while safely parked ) until I'd driven down the road a bit.

My car arrived in the UK according to the tracking today. From your experience does it take long to get to the dealer from that point?

At last! My build date is today!

Got my tracking number in the post today with a confirmed build week 36. My birthday is the last week of September (week 39) so I'm hoping for a happy coincidence.

My new and second sirocco is build week 10th sept , so early oct to pick up the new spec R line

Build week 37...the wait is killing me!!

Dealership informed me today that the cars has arrived in the uk already ..build week was 37 , inland knight wondering if your was on the sane shipment maybe worth checking ..

Hi...the DS said it will be 7-10 days from last Tuesday before it hits the uk. So it may have arrived today... ..they said it will be there by next fri 28th ?...fingers crossed!!! It's getting PDI once it hits the uk. I'm secretly hoping they are lying and it arrives sooner...this Friday would be nice!!!

Mine has also landed in uk my build week was 37.dealer said about a week before i can collect it happy days!!

Its sat in the port of Emden, Germany awaiting a ship to the UK. Friday will be a tall order. More like middle/end of next week in UK. AFRICAN HIGHWAY dropped it off Monday 17th.

May have made EMS HIGHWAY to Grimsby on 19.09.12 @ 19:00 but the turn round would quicker than usual if it has.
