Clean and snapped a couple of pics on a trip
What sort of price was it to have the plate recess smoothed over? If you don't mind me asking
Not sure on an exact price as charging £250 for recess removed paint it and the spoiler.

Fitted my bonnet lifters and removed the old bonnet stay. Nuespeed induction kit fitted as old airbox was rattling. Plus a general clean while I was there.
Fitted my carbon mirror covers. Was a bit of an arse due to not flexing like the old plastic ones. Just need my mate to do my grille next.

Ordered two new Michelin tires, to replace my two rear Dunlops, because the cupping was driving me insane after listening to it for two months.
When those get installed at the back they will also do a tire alignment for all four, hopefully this will decrease the amount of cupping in the future.
anyone of you have experience with cupping and what is your best advice?
Heard some people changing back/rear pairs every 10k km's, sounds real easy when changing to winter/summer any other tips?
Carbon looks nice though I can imagine it was tricky with them not flexing much!
What is cupping of tyres?!
Today I washed wheels with bilberry (really good, I used it 3:1) and applied two coats of poorboys wheel sealant which was really easy to apply and left the wheels very slippery indeed

Dunlops on the rear of mine were the same when i got it. Get a proper 4 wheel alignment done as more than likely you rear toe needs adjusting. Mine was out and worse on one side and the tyre on that side was the worse of the two. Best thing to do is change you wheels front to back every couple of months.

I bought them from a seller on eBay who paint to a colour of your choice. There not official VW covers but when placing them next to my white ones I couldn't see any difference.

do you still experience cupping? if so did it decrease significantly?

Evening all - so a big clean for Walter today after a week languishing at the office & courtesy of a three am start I was able to get cracking just after two & I've just finished
Started with a Poorboys slick and suds, then a clay to the front and sills with a G3 Clay Mitt
Following a dry with a PB big Purple Towel a coat of AF Rejuvenate, a coat of Chemical Guys Blacklight ( awesome) and a quick glass clean with AF Crystal - fairly satisfied he's looking pretty good so while I was on a crest I put on the H5K variant sills and the fog light surrounds - quick buff with a MF and he's looking ace - just in time for the weekends rain !
Sorry about the side pic - the iPad is having none of it tonight and I'm so knackered I'm going to launch it if I mess about anymore !
