Seems like there are quite a few on here with BW9. Could be a queue at the dealers!

Ordered mine on 7th December 2009 and yesterday they confirmed the build date of week 17 (end-April) - this is such a long wait!

i ordered about the same time, mine had BW 6
strange. I also know one that ordered in week 6 and his car will be at the dealer around week 15 - 16.

Which additional options are put on your Scirocco has an influence on the delivery time This includes some engine options such as the 170PS diesel and 1.4TSi 160PS which have had longer lead times due to such high demand across the VW group's model range.

Damn, it seems much longer than other orders - when I placed the order, I was pretty much expecting week 6, maybe week 8 to be fair.

My only addition on the 2.0Tsi was the pano roof and Rising Blue paint (no DSG, satnav or DynAudio - bog-standard audio unit, trim, rims, etc). I'm seeing the sales chap tomorrow or Friday and will try and find out why the longer-than-usual wait. My immediate thought is that they didn't place the order when they said they did in early-December, but will enquire tomorrow... is there a way to confirm when the order was received by the factory, without going through the dealer?

not really Howard I doubt customer services would give that kind of information but you could try.

guys mine was ordered in november and have just got a confirmed build week 9 recently. in total would be a six month waiting list,

Is it strange that I only ordered mine at the end of January but I have been told BW9? Seems to be a massive difference between other people's experiences :S

Me and my mother have both ordered Scirocco's as we were so impressed after a test drive! We ordered on the 21st December. The 2.0 TDI 140 was built last week (week 6) and the 2.0 TDI 170 is build week 8. I thought that was quite long...obviously not! Must depend on the dealer I guess.

yep it does depend on the dealer, but mine also is a 2.0 tdi 140 and was ordered october............end or march it should arrive.......now that is a long wait.

it seems that, diesel cars have a much longer lead time, has vw ever admitted any problems producing the diesel units, i have seen many post about build dates and diesel orders seem to have longer waits than others, true or false?

i ordered on august 6th 2009, still havnt received the car, supposedly built now and on its way, so 8 months later hopefully, i will take delivery.

I don't think its specifically diesels that are delayed you may just notice more because you have a diesel on order

My car finally landed with the dealer yesterday! Pick up arranged for 1st March - now starting to feel like a 5 year old on the approach to Christmas.

Been told that it should be ready for pickup on the second week of April... done through my work scheme, so not 100% sure of the process, but they have been providing me with regular updates.

Patience; the precious will arrive soon! Also, it's been cheap to not have a car for the last 6 months since the Brabus went back.

Ordered car today. Build week 12. Car was already allocated, but has been changed to my spec. Dealer says shouldnt effect build week, and is going to confirm and give me arrival week (probably april/may) in few days.
