Decided to plug in the VCDS for an autoscan today - one week after my cruise control retrofit. Just to make sure no errors were being generated. No errors at all, so all is good! While I was at it, I sorted out the issue with the main beam not staying on when you flick the stalk backwards.
Absolutely love having my own VCDS cable, can't recommend it enough!
To make the car perfect now, all I need is an RNS510 and power folding mirrors

Went to the Southgate branch to pick up the motor, new air intake manifold fitted. Turned the ignition on and was greeted by the check engine light again. Averaging once a month for repairs now, and only had it a year. Audi, here I come. Disgusted with VW today.

Yesterday I did my 1st vagcom tweaks.
-horn on unlock and lock
-needle sweep.
Then today I just gave it a wash followed by a quick detailer using auto finesse finale. 1st wash of 2014.

Cleaned my car with some of the products I got from cleanyourcar.com. Liked the citrus bug/grime remover stuff, used up the whole bottle.
Not bad results, but it rained. Not so bothered tho as the car did need a clean

Tool? Didn't know there was one, just used my bare hands, break pedal was straight foward, clutch was a little more tricky and the accelerator was just pain in the back side.

I got my spacers off the bay a company called TPI they sell all sizes and extended bolts if needed reasonably cheap
Hope that helps.

"Today I mostly played with Rocco" joking apart I upgraded my ICE from RCD510 to RNS510 and very pleased with it
all together.
