build weeks will jump around alot until they are frozen drigbyy don't worry, next week it may well have popped back to week 50 again.
i think they will be re-evaluating all build weeks over this week/next week with the revisions coming in.

I'm not too worried if it is build week 50 anymore, as it seems by reading on here and another forum VW are gettin quicker at getting car from factory to dealership...

So there is maybe hope for it to be here before xmas...

Got confirmation today that mine arrived at the dealers this afternoon. Going in tomorrow to choose a number plate and will be driving it next week... after all the waiting, I think this is the worst bit!!!

So yours was a week 43 build?

Mines fixed on week 44, and wasn't expecting to get it until about mid Nov, but your tracking info seems to suggest i migt get it a bit quicker.

How did you get all your updates? have you been phoning vw regularly, or have you won the vw lottery & got their 1 and only decent sales rep?

I ordered mine on June 29th & it's fixed to wk 44. I did however complain to the MD of the local franchise, as the communication from vw has been crap at best, and they've strung me along with the build dates for ages, and I managed to get 2 years servicing out of them. Just worth thinking about if you're having a similar experience to me. I also saw someone on here saying they got BT phone prep out of them due to the delay.

Just been on the phone to my work and i was told mid April for delivery. I found out that they ordered through Synter Leeds VW (has anybody had any problems with them or know if they are ok), I then phoned up the dealer for my commision number and the women said that they have ran out of their order allocation for this year so the order will have to get put through in January and then i have to phone back to get my commision number. Hopefully they get allocated another couple of orders or if somebody cancels their order, as i was told im second in the queue. I was glad i phoned the dealer because the women also wanted me to confirm if i was ok with the delivery wait to proceed with the order and my work never even mentioned that.

Ok, the wait is nearly over for me, build week 45 next week and I'm at check point 4 already. So some good progress there, my dealer said that,s halfway through my build. I made some enquiries to see if I had the updates, they confirmed that I had. So if RW1 is anything to go off, I should see it at the dealers 2 weeks today.
One thing thats bugging me is my dealer said that all the cars go back to Germany for a final inspection and then they are shipped out to the dealers, so do they come to the UK by boat from Portugal or via Germany.

The cars look as though they came in via Sheerness, Kent last Monday morning. So based on previous ships, it should be there on Sunday midnight 8th November.

Do I hold the record??? . Trix I think was finish on Wednesday, at the dealer following Wednesday. Mine, finish Friday Teatime, at the dealers on the following Tuesday night. Wished the banking systems was as quick

So can't see where Germany fits in given its 36 hours sailing time.

Well this is my first post and I'm a bit confused?

Sounds like I'm going to break the record for the longest delivery time, from build to dealer to me!!!

Ordered 2nd week of Aug - build week confirmed 47.

Spoke with dealer yesterday, said there is no way I will take delivery this year:( He's expecting 8-12 week delivery from build!!! So that's more Vat and late Jan early Feb at the dealers!

I've also been told they go to Germany for final inspection?

.......so if it's currently 2 weeks from build to dealer???? .....or is my dealer lying to me about my build date and given it to someone else? If I ask for my commission number can I check myself?

The cars go from the factory in Portugal, by train to Germany for final inspection. They then get shipped out of Emden in Germany, to Sheerness in Kent... at least thats my understanding of it.

Mine was a week 42 build, arrived at the dealer on Thursday night and I will be picking it up on Tuesday. The dealer said VW have really sorted out their shipping in the last few weeks- alot of cars are coming through very quickly now... maybe ramping things up before the Christmas shutdown?!!

4 weeks ago I asked to add flat tire indicator only if it wouldn't change my build week! Left it at that and heard nothing back!

Just spoke to him and asked for my commission number! he asked why - said about tracking status! He then said they wouldn't tell me and checking on the system told me I still haven't got a confirmed build week?????

Placed my order 9th August and still pending!!! ..........now he's denying he told me the build week was confirmed!

Mish- sounds like he has no allocation left for this year so the order hasn't gone through yet. pretty poor that the dealer can't be more upfront with you!

As the previous post says, I think he has used all his allocation for the year and bullsh*ted you to keep the sale, knowing you would go elsewhere. Who is your dealer. I ordered 2 weeks after yourself and mine's being built rite now.

Sorry to hear your dilema, I definitely think you need to get hold of your commission number. If your salesman won't give it to you & is clearly being evasive which he certainly seems to be I would highly recommend going to another salesperson & asking them for your commission number (do not let them try & pass you back to your original salesperson until you get it) or go to the dealer principal of the dealership & say you are not happy with the way you are being treated. (I would try to use the dealer principal as a last resort)

Back from dealer - seen the screen - still not a confirmed build week. So yes I agree they've used their allocation for this year! I've asked to cancel my order - they said it may still go confirmed next week for build 47??? I'll have to wait till Monday and talk with the manager. I can't get my head round why you wouldn't have a confirmed build date nearly 3 months after placing the order??? again unless they've used their allocation .....but why not say:(

don't want to cancel ........feel cheated! .......unless anyone else doesn't have a confirmed build after 3 months?

the build week may have been bouncing around Mish (especially with the minor revisions happening next week) but unfortunately I think they are playing you for a fool. Ordering in Aug you still should have been able to gain an allocation slot for this year.

I definitely think you should speak to the dealer principal this time.
