Another vote for a more bespoke dash board.
Also:
- Move the mirror controls next to the window controls, where they are currently seems an after thought.
Bigger sunglasses holder, can't fit mine in (aviators)
OSF mirror down as well as NSF
Same exhaust tips on all models
Better thought out glovebox, like the one found in the Audi A3

I'd like there to be the same range of seat adjustablity as in a Golf, I can get the seat in a Golf quite a lot lower than a Scirocco.
I'd love another Scirocco (funds pending), but the fact I could be more comfortable in a Golf GTi means I'd be tempted to go for one of those next even if I still prefer the Scirocco.
Another request would be for more room under the chassis leg so I can get one lower without having to notch the chassis

roof gutters that dont soak you when you drive off slightly with the window open, glass that doesnt drop when you dissarm (the TT only does it when you pull the handle) heavier accelerator pedal, as there is still not a retro fix for cruise control 2 years later, bespoke dash, and mk5 golf inspired boot catch

Ooh a shopping list -
1. Body Coloured door panels, that grey plastic stuff discolours over time.
2. Chromochromatic (auto dimming) door mirrors
3. Electric Passenger Seat
4. Memory Seats

How about:
1. Height adjustable seat belts
2. More powerful diesel 2 litre twin turbocharged?
3. Sort out the idiotic mirror adjustment, heating (should just work with rear demister), auto dipping, automatic folding
4. Heated windscreen option
5. Front parking sensors why aren't they available
6. Bluemotion features on every model
7. slicker ipod interface without hesitancy between tracks
8. Most of all better build quality without all the rattles and squeaks

What about adding more motorsport/sporty stuff to it, like:
Turbopressure gauge
Oilpressure gauge
Voltmeter gauge, atleast as an option..
More branding? "Scirocco" logo on the headrests? Doorsills as standard, floormats etc.
New dash as said from others.
Optional to have calipers painted
Optional to fit R brakes on a standard model
Maybe even put the "Scirocco" logo on the calipers.
Add a GTI model with interlagos plaid interior, red stitching etc.
Thats about it from me

16. "Better" Ipod integration
YES YES YES!
It is a pain in the ass to browse through thousands of songs. Selection is annoying as you have to adjust the screen again to view the playlist option. Browsing through the iPod is the biggest nuisance.

Autofolding mirrors when locking and unlocking the car.
Automatic window closure when locking the car.

It's a good car as it stands but there are a few things that would make it even better:
Heated windscreen
A tailgate that doesn't soak you in water on opening after rain
Bonnet struts
Wider colour choice
Optional black wheels
The ability to fit roof rails (hidden fitting slots in the roof like many other cars)
Electric tailgate opening/closing
The frameless doors are nice but please sort out the issues with the window opening/closing mechanism so they open/close properly every time you lock/unlock the damn things.

Having just seen this thread I am a little confused. My understanding was that a new Scirocco would not reach the UK until Spring 2014. Am I now to understand we will get a facelift in 2013? If there is to be a facelift I can't imagine VW are going to want to modify the existing car too dramatically - a few modified external panels + more economical/lower CO2 engines I would have thought would be the main changes and that the whole list of detailed changes members suggest would be more likely reserved for a complete redesign later?

All the same really but Spring 2014 will be fine. This topic effectively closed on

Surely there will be no facelift!! The MY2012 car has been substantially upgraded (bluetooth, satnav, leather on the GT etc) in leu of an actual physical facelift, which the car doesn't really need. I'm sure the all new car will be revealed sometime maybe in late 2014 for a 2015 launch. That's just my opinion anyway!

I'm sure its a safety thing but it would be good if the pedals could be set slightly further back or the steering wheel could come further forward (and a bit lower).
2. Seat pockets behind the driver and passenger seats?
3. Option to de-badge the engine designation but not the 'Scirocco' model inscription.
I second the thing about steering wheel range! ;-)

The door pockets are too small - even a small map falls out. Everything else is perfect!

Is this thread (nealry two years old) not completely redundant? Thereis no '2013 facelift' and not likely to be one at all!

True!
I would suggest that a mod lock the thread as its pointless for it to stay open.
