Placed order mid August.

The strange thing is I changed my order from a TDI 140 to a TDI 170 a week ago, thinking it would be pushed out a few weeks further, as my dealer says that any order to build week is approx 12 weeks. Guess I am lucky!

WHOOOOOOOP, my car went in for build last week, so happy !

I ordered my scirocco on 11th july2009,just been told today car will be built this week 11 weeks later,will take 4 weeks before i get my car,so 15 weeks in total,original delivery was for sept 2009,big lies? kev ritchie.

Ordered mine 19th July and its being built this week for an October delivery!

i ordered june & was told sept delivery but my build week is 2 weeks time, alot has gone on over the summer with regards to production scheduling.
at least you won't be waiting as long as i have when i finally get my hands on my car.

Definately weird that some peoples build weeks are coming forward and others getting further away.

I ordered way back in May and was told was looking at wk43 for build so I think quite right for mine to come forward.

I was originally 42, but adding stuff to my order pushed it to 44. I wouldn't mind, but that's going to mean a December delivery when I placed the order in JUNE! Not good.

I've been told I'm penciled in for week 46.

Just received my email saying their system shows "production complete" which apparently means its awaiting going to the port for shipping to the UK. Surely they can't have built and done final checks yet, it was only scheduled for build week 39....not the I'm complaining.

Well, i just got a call telling me my delivery date is now up in the air due to the amount of orders they have.

i ordered early august with an initial 'January' delivery time, this then became 1st week in jan recently. hopefully they'll stick to the early jan delivery but its not the best way to treat customers i think. the guy i spoke to had 45 others to call to say the same thing!!!

Hopefully just keeping you at arms length so he doesn't have a fight on his hands if it arrives late. Fingers crossed it will show up for you a bit sooner!

Ordered a 1.4 TSI DSG on 30 June 2009.

I just recieved an email from my dealer yesterday saying that I now have build week 43 confirmed. That's w/c 19 October. He said I should get the car mid-November.

It's been such a long (and disappointing wait - originally told 10-12 weeks) that although I'm pleased to get my build week confirmed I'm kinda tired of waiting.

So, from order it's taken 17 weeks to get the build week 43 + another 4 weeks to get the car. So thats a staggering 21 weeks delivery time!!!

They didn't tell me that when I placed the order (that's why I'm so grumpy)

I think our cars are shipmates - mine was BW37 and I'm told it's currently on ship. Yesterday, the dealer told me that I should expect delivery "at the back end of September or the start of October". When I said "so you mean next week?" there was a lot of umming and ahhing and not a lot of commitment!

mine being shipped into grimsby, so maybe not...i assume yours is heading into kent!?

Mine's been ordered as a company car (which was a total result, by the way) so I can't really track it via a dealer.

However, it was ordered on the 8th of June, and I was working to a rough '16 week' waiting period which would make it due, er, today! It's actually gone by pretty quickly but I still haven't heard anything at work.

Today's a bank holiday but hopefully I'll get some news this week. After all, it's only the ultra-basic model that I managed to negotiate for myself: TDI 140, candy white, no options at all... Still better than getting another Golf or a dull A3...

Anyway, since I ordered, by current Golf V 1.6 FSI SE has been in the garage like, every 3 weeks with some fault or other. It knows that its days are numbered...
