Very nice rear bumper! Are you fitting the facelift front also?

Hey man, I bought the connectors directly from VW. Here are the part numbers you'll need...
Housing to plug in to your current loom:
191972716
NEW facelift rear light connector:
1K8972928
You will also need 6x
000979025E Repair Wires (they're about £11 each!).
Roy_01 wrote:Very nice rear bumper! Are you fitting the facelift front also?
Thanks man! Yes! Facelift front end is scheduled for 27th March, although I may be postponing it due to moving house and having very little money spare for the car!!

Haha spotted! We were shopping for loads of new home parts man! Shame I didn't catch you

Thanks man!!
I got round to fitting my carbon centre console trims yesterday (the ones next to the gear stick). They make a huge difference, I'm so in love with the interior at the mo! More carbon coming, plus interior/seats are on the agenda too...

Ok thanks. Did you need to do some coding after the installation?

Lol I drove down from Guildford to help some friends out. Was in there two hours saw it when I came out and was like hey I know that car. Looks spot on in the flesh mate. Thought it looked like west quay car park in some of your photos

Where did you get your interior trim from buddy?! I'm wanting mine done, but have no idea where to look.
Been tempted to get it all hydro dipped but unsure of the quality and would rather genuine

Thankyou guys!
TotalCustomUK did my interior trims - they're on Facebook if you need a quote for some work - I highly recommend them!
I'm finally making some progress. I've found someone who can hopefully code the facelift rear LED lights correctly, it's booked in for a weeks time. If all goes well, I'll do a full write up on the parts required and how to code the facelift rear end for anyone thinking of doing it.
Front end is to be sprayed and fitted next week too, alongside booked in again at CarAudioSecuritty on the 1st April...
Have a rolling shot of on the way home from Ultimate Dubs...

Hi Tom, congrats on a fabulous looking Rocco. I like you have just done the facelift conversion on the rear of my R.
However the VW boot release handle doesn't work. Is it supposed to or are there modifications needed?
Any help or advice you can offer would be appreciated.

Hey man, thank you! How did you find it? Did you resolve the issue with the rear lights (fog light on constantly?). I have mine booked in next week with VW hopefully to be fixed!
My boot popper doesn't work either - yet - I am told you just need one live and one earth cable for it to work. The live can go to somewhere like the light in the boot.

Thanks Marky!!!! Black is tempting, but a no go for carbon wrap! I kinda like silver because it matches my facelift wheel, plus the silver tipped switches and door handles.
No doubt I'll end up changing them soon tho!

Thanks for the reply Tom.
I found it to be difficult getting hold of the parts but the install was quite straight forward. Haven't fixed the issue with the lights yet. Was going to buy VAG Can Pro and reprogram the central electronics module. I believe you have to change byte 18!?
Out if interest how much are VW charging you to do it?

No worries, I have heard the same but not 100% sure. VW are only charging me £27.50 plus VAT - providing they can do it! Where are you based? If all goes well, I already have a few others who have said they will travel here for the same garage to do the same update on their facelift! I am based between Portsmouth and Southampton.

That's pretty reasonable. I live in Weymouth, Dorset. I'm not sure if my local VW dealer would know how do it or even be willing to do it!? I can buy VAG Can Pro for £60 but it might be worth travelling down to your local VW dealer if they are successful at doing yours.

I agree. I debated buying VCP but I have no idea how to use it, and there is a big risk of doing more damage than good!
Definitely worth the trip in my opinion, drop me a DM and I'll send you over my Facebook details and keep you updated?

where to start..... new to this forum and new to rocco life. But yours is simply one of the nicest ones i have seen loving all the mods would be a dream to own.
Im a full time student so funds very tight recently picked up a salvage rocco just pannel damage which i will get sorted. If you could help me a little would be a big help.
The front bumper is cracked and one headlight smashed i do want to fit the facelift r bumper am i right in thinking i only need the facelift lights to fit and obviously the bumper and would that be costly or would i be safer going for the pre facelift bumper and fitting that which i also don't mind the look of.
On a very tight budget but would rather stretch a little if it meant achieving the look i wanted any advice would be greatly appreciated.
And keep up the awesome work. p.s i have just read through this entire thread was worth it tho
