summer 2019 general maintenance update.
two fixes to the car. he's pushing on in age now so it's to be expected i guess, and my motto is if you can't afford it you shouldn't be driving it so bang goes a lump of cash.
pano roof got stuck open - on a rainy day, too. not good. vw were quoting £1,600+ for fixing if it was jammed on the runners, meaning front window out and all of that. luckily it was jut the motor which they could access by pulling the roof liner back a bit.
two weeks later the abs module failed, with a scary warning popping up on the dashboard whilst on the motorway. not a cheap part and i don't mess with brakes so back to vw and another spend. returned within 3 days, though.
the wheels were looking less than perfect at the end of summer after being too lazy to put the tallys on. ran them all through winter and spring, so he looked a bit sorry for himself for a while. but i did get the drone out for some practise.

Wow, a lot of problems, when the abs module failed, the brakes pedal is working or not? Can you stop the car?
Always better the Savannah wheels! Love them!

I have the same problem and the answer is no.. brakes work fine its just in case of an emergency brake the abs wont work and probably the car will slide. A very expensive fix if you are not in the recall list. Im not in the list and im looking for a used one...
