I know this is an old post but I had the same problem with my tsi 122 scirocco when you would push on the waste gate arm by hand it would stick until you would shake it. I sprayed it with loads of wd-40 and worked the arm in and out manually and it freed it up car is driveing perfect now no hesitation or surging and feeling lively again

Two years ago they have fitted a new turbine to me because of this problem.... :D, now I dont have warriantiy any more :D

now again the rod is stucked and as you sad I used olso a WD 40 spray, and its going fine car now, I dont feel anithing in the car now, but the ECU still puts the fault code

The told me it is fixable, just have to remove the turbine an take it to repair and wee will se...

the car is runing on Revo stage 1 for a week now and that was the moment when we discovered the fault, because the pressure is higher now....

What about those clips? will the fit on 1.4?

Dealers sell it?

Hello, I just recently felt this today. After not driving the car for a week, it's just been sat? Could that be why I am feeling a bit of a surge of power then flat point then surge again? Or will it be the sticking of the waste gate? Which means new turbo? Cheers in advance

My scirocco is doing the exactly the same as yours was doing I've took the turbo off and checked if the wastegate actuating rod was sticking and the valve it moves and it wasn't sticking any ideas on what else could cause this?
