Hi there

Ive been looking to turn on the XDS on our car and it appears the option is available in the ABS unit.....See pic 1

Select it and it shows the new coding.....See pic 2

Click "Do it" and I get the following message....See pic 3

Has anyone come across this...?

Thanx

Ken,

Just remember what you see in displays of VCDS are general for a controller. It doesn't always mean it will enable within the controller. The label files which drive the Long Coding VCDS displays are based on part numbers mostly, not necessarily their sub letter derivatives. This is one of those cases.

Some how I don't think it will enable on a 3 year old Scirocco (MY2009 / Early MY2010 prior to Wk45/09 build) due to the internal firmware of the Brakes ABS controller 03 not supporting it.

OK thanx...so If I select "YES" and use the default figures is it safe to try and see if it accepts the coding...?

Hang on a freggin minute here lads, you mean to say that if you didn't by the XDS as an option you didn't need to because all you got to do is change two codes to 3 so it's ultra sensitive and bobs everyones uncle you got XDS. Your all pull my leg here! :eyepop:

No that's not right, you got to have the xds differential. It's not on every car.
