Can you help ive been waiting 5weeks now for my confirmed build week,my dealer gave me a build week of 32 as a guide but hasnt confirmed it yet, im out of the country fighting a war so i left the order in the good hands of the mrs, she has rang them and they keep saying the system is down and they are not getting any updates due to the factory closing in july for 2 week, but when im reading other posts people are getting theres within the time stated, i think the dealer is just being bone idle as im away and cant contact him to get to the bottom of it, he told me he would update me every week via email as thats my only way of contact, but i havent recieved one yet, siorry for the rant but its very frustrating,

your help is much needed..

Mick, the system only came back on line last Mon & there were some teething problems as per bleedsoff's thread elsewhere. I'd suggest your partner rings or goes in on Monday & asks for a full update of status on the order & why you haven't been emailed with any updates. It may well be confirmed but unfortunately dealers don't realise there are people out there that understand the system like them or moreso.
Unfortunately there isn't much more than that can be done currently, we don't have anyone on the inside

Hi guys

The mrs phoned in yesterday and still no confirmed build week, the dealer said he is 99% sure that the estimated build week will be right, that is week 32 (next monday) it just seems mad how he cant find out when it should be on a screen infront of him or only a phone call away, its been nearly 7 weeks and no confirmed build, its no great shake as im out the country till the end of sept, i just dont want to be still waiting when im back, its like because im away hes got his sale, he promised me updates via email, and guess what NOT one recieved yet, most other people who ordered around the same time and some a good few weeks after have a fixed date, Anymore help guys, any way of going above his head

Mick, firstly I don't know how easy the new system is to interpret build weeks in terms of confirmed or not confirmed.
your wife may be able to ring up vw customer services and ask them to advise if she has your comission number from the dealer (the comission [com] number is the number of your order on the main national/international vw system NOT the number of the top of the dealers order form) she may struggle if the order is in your name, i'm not sure how close they pay attention. Most important though she can not do this cold, she has to have the com number.

what did the dealer say when she asked why he hadn't been sending updates to you as promised?

Yeah got the com number within the first few weeks thanks to the forum, ill get her to try that, He told her he has been sending me update via email and phone, but i check my emails reg and aint had one, Its like hes finding it easy to fob the wife off because i aint there, he said he would ring her back before fri with an update, I still should have the car in good time by the end of sept, I just get the feeling something else is wrong hence the not knowing anything, ill be double checking everything from now on, When i was on R&R (two week break from tour) in june the dealer was really nice and promised the world and he seemed genuine and not just wanting a quick sale, and with me being away in afghan saying ill have reg updates so they would be nothing to worry about,, ALL LIES

well hopefully VW customer services will know more...

Got my confirmed build date finally,
build week 32 next monday, got it off vw customer services, i asked her about my add ons and she only could tell me scirocco in candy white is that right.

4-6 weeks delivery,

how do i go about finding out which boat and such is that a dealer thing, HOPE NOT mine is WEBBO

I see you've already found your way across to the next boats thread which is the best place to find out what boat it will be on, have a look back through RW1's confirmed ship posts on the last few pages and the speculative shipping route may already be there. it will all depend on when in the week your car gets finished though.

unfortunately we can't tell you when its going to be built Nico only your dealer or vw customer services can tell you that.

if you've only just placed your order give it a few weeks for it to get on the system and into the VW build scheduling then your dealer should be able to advise an estimated build week, this estimated build week will mostly likely move abit based on when parts are due to arrive at the factory before being turned into a confirmed build week about 3 or 4 weeks before the actual build week.

Build week 30! late August delivery but waiting for new plate obviously so first week in Sept amd its mine!
