well picked her up today. :D damn she's a fine looker.

drove into the dealer car park and there she was...all washed and looking gleaming in the sunshine!

First thoughts...what baggy gearchange? its spot on!

Noise...well there is a nice deep burble at low revs, almost drone ish. sticking to 4k rpm limit till i get past 500 miles. Then I'll start experiencing the power properly. Loving the sweep of the needles on start up

Boot unlocks via key, don't have a problem with that at all!

Ride is very good at the mo, on comfort setting anyway! Will try the others at the some.

The girls at work have given it their seal of approval, which is always good! lol

Will try and resist the urge to mod it tho. Can't wait for my Ring trip now. Yippeeeeee

Didn't think you would be disappointed. Sounds like Rising Blue's don't have a "baggy" gearchange!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy

Shocking how VW decided not to fit these bits as standard!
GTI2RocR, if you don't mind sharing, how much did these parts cost and are you getting the dealer to fir them for you?

cost around £150. And I'm getting a mate to help fit it (he's an ICE guru so likes to rip cars apart anyway)

Can any of you lucky new R owners tell me if it has a spare wheel or a can of tyre weld like I heard ?

excellent, my first mod is going to be a nice little sub hidden in there just to pep up the bass on the Dynaudio. I've already had a chat to my Audio guy I'll try to get him to take some photos and do a build thread

2nd I will sort the ride height/handling out , KW have announced Variant set up for the MKIV Golf R. can't find any mention of a Scirocco R set up yet, possibly because its the same as the GT's ?. Anyways I fancy a set of V3's and some Anti roll bars's and possibly a few other little tweeks.

3rd once the cars done a few thousand miles a remap.

I recall someone recently asking & it was stupid money for what it is.

we have the instructions here covered cup holder instructions & this gives you an idea of what the covered stowage looks like http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... =38&t=1512" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as long as you take your time & don't force anything in ways it clearly won't go its perfectly doable yourself

S

(on a side note I have the ashtray version of the covered stowage available, without ashtray insert or trim though, which I may finally get round to listing at some point, if anyone wants to make me an offer)
