Thanks Just guess as I gowhiteDevil_170 wrote:Fantastic thread Mate. And huge amount of work done by yourself. I wouldn't have a clue how to to all them mods.
Looks great.
I'll let you off then!Gazzagood wrote:I was waiting for someone to say that, but I am converting everything to R, not just sticking on a bumper and being done. So the only thing that wont be R is the logbook. And yes I will be upgrading the turbo etc, just doing exterior, interior, engine. But I understand what you are saying.
However yes, will be doing vents, trims etc piano black, got them on order.
Also changing the gearstick, got 1 on order but not arrived yet
Hehe thanks! Only had the car 3 weeks, not enough time in the day to sort everything lol.Adam90 wrote:I'll let you off then!Gazzagood wrote:I was waiting for someone to say that, but I am converting everything to R, not just sticking on a bumper and being done. How much did the piano black bits cost? I've just had all mine wrapped today, instead. Thought it would probably be cheaper.
Is the steering wheel a straight swap?Gazzagood wrote:So what a day of modding! Got more then I thought I would get done done.
So after picking up my rear bumper and skirts from the bodyshop this morning I fitted my missing DRL to the front bumper:
Then I went on to fit the bumper:
And the finished piece below! The lights are not bolted in as I still need to sort out getting the DRL's working
Then it was on to getting the rear facelift lights working, MASSIVE thanks to Niqlai on this forum for help with the wiring, this would of taken me hours without his pictures:
All lights working as they should
Then it was on to fitting the rear end.
This went really well but I did not know the bumper brackets behind the bumper were different and I did not have them So cant actually fit the bumper properly until tue/wed when I can get the part. So that is why the corners are hanging, but you get the idea
If anyone wondered the shape difference between facelift and pre facelift see the below picture. Way off!
But back to the rear end fitting:
Absolutely LOVE the LED rear lights! Will get better pictures when its dark, so happy with them!!
For anyone wondering, every boot trime fitted from the pre facelift boot into the facelift:
And finally, I fitted my steering wheel:
Need to convert the rest of the interior to gloss black now so the trims dont look out of place!
Very long day, but very happy! Tomorrow I am doing my sideskirts with help from a mate. And then I am going to try work out the damn DRL wiring!!
Hope you like
there pretty shit mate, we used tiger seal so just letting it cure overnight will remove the tape and clamps tomorrow afternoon.Alexanderrr wrote:Really annoyed by my replica skirts ass well. Needs some work to fit properly.
What are u using to fitt the skirts? My 3M WindowSealer comes lose everytime
Love the facelift rear!
I am guessing you just viewed the pictures haha, i said that i need new rear bumper mounting brackets, so its not bolted on the sides or clipped in as theres nothing there. But being a bank holiday i cannot get the parts until tue/wedJimijokela wrote:I'm interested too whats wrong with side skirts since i have my replicas from funfuntuning painted as i write this.
Also your rear bumber doesnt fit as its supposed? Pretty big gap on the picture. But nice mods. Now you need to lower it and buy some nice set of wheels!
Funtuning off ebay from germany mateDave7692 wrote:Where did you get the side skirts from mate?
i would not recommend any form of tape, there is to much presser they will come away from the body. Get some good quality sealant, I used Tiger seal, bond it and let it set for 24 hours clamped/taped to the car. Then you should have no issues.Jimijokela wrote:Oops.. Thanks for your answer and its good that you'll fix bumber gap! I hope that my skirts would fit good. they have 3m two sided tape now, and i've used that one on my previous cars so i'll hope it works
