Its originally a Borg Warner K04 turbo that REVO take and tweak slightly, i believe, re-brand it as REVO but still full acknowledgment of Borg Warner.mvb12 wrote:When you say REVO KO4 Turbo, what exactly does that mean? Have you got an KO4-064 turbo or a REVO produced KO4.
Unfortunately no not yet mate, but hopefully within the next few weeks, just cant get round to it :/balli931 wrote:Been on a dyno yet ?
Hi mate, what is the part number of the powerflex mount insert you used? It looks the same as mine, I have got the yellow one with part number PFF85-504 which I think it's for the pre 2008 cars? But it doesn't look that different to the 704, was just wondering if it will still fit... I have a 61 plate scirocco. Cheers!Psycho Kirky wrote:As soon as I started the engine again you could feel the difference, the vibrations when driving (lower rev range and even at idle are more noticable, but not a ' :o somethings broken' feeling. You can tell it is just the mount insert doing its job absorbing the movements it intends to![]()
The original bolt was pretty tight and took some force to undo and the new bolt has a slightly bigger head, 22mm I think it was. The insert took some careful but rough hammering and will need a little oil or grease for lubrication. A little Loctite Studlock or Threadlock for added security and peace of mind on the new bolt, then nice and 'F T' so it doesnt vibrate loose(comes with new washers)
Simple enough mod just need some sturdy tools for undoing and tightening with a recommendation of LoctiteYou can feel the power getting to the wheels and onto the road a bit better, dont worry about the slight vibration increase, thats the nature of stiffer mounts

By the way the Insert literally inserts alongside the OEM mount, there is no need to remove anything other than the original bolt and washer!
