It depends on which MY have. For a 09 with red cluster you have to change:
- rear bumper and its mountings
- rear tailgate
- the connectors
- the taillights
- VCDS
If you have a MY10 or later you'll also need:
- a new BCM
- VCP coding device to adapt the EEPROM data
PS: I didn't take any pictures and I'm not on Facebook

YyB: Any Chance of you elaborating on the VCP EEPROM part? I have issues with LED rearlights on a car, we changed all including BCM, but still nothing works properly.

Hi one71. Unfortunately I don't have VCP because I didn't need it on mine.
Maybe you could ask on the VCP forum?

Nice build, thinking of doing the same om my 09, just wondering: what do i need to change in the coding for the tail lights? Just change a specific code or update it to think its a facelift model (i am thinking of doing it with the Vag diagnostics computer at work)

You have to reduce the dimming of the brake and rear fog lights to 0% and I recommend to raise the parking light up to 62% brightness.
I have to look it up, which byte you have to change.

awesome looking car
Would It be possible to only upgrade the facelift rear lights and boot, but without rear bumper?

See I would want to do the opposite, keep my standard boot and lights and swap the bumpers but I don't think they're compatible

Was ur front bumper a facelift? If so was it a direct fit or did u have to mess about with the front side panels? Maybe different brackets etc? Thanks
